Overview
A professional home for the full story.
Great-Visions was commissioned to create a professional digital portfolio for a client transitioning toward nonprofit and community-focused professional opportunities.
The work began with the client’s career goals and the audiences she wanted to reach. From there, Great-Visions developed the content structure, visual direction, responsive experience, and final deployment as one connected engagement.
The Challenge
Make varied experience feel connected.
The client had experience spanning professional work, community involvement, education, research, and a long-term nonprofit vision.
The challenge was organizing those different parts of her background into a professional story that felt cohesive rather than simply reproducing a résumé on a webpage.
The portfolio also needed to support immediate employment goals while presenting the client’s longer-term mission accurately—as a future direction, not a current operating organization.
The Approach
Structure first, then design and build.
Great-Visions organized the portfolio around the client’s professional identity, transferable experience, community work, education, skills, and long-term mission.

The Result
A portfolio ready for real opportunities.
After launch, the client submitted the portfolio as part of an application for a writing opportunity. She was subsequently contacted for an interview.
During that interview, the organization specifically mentioned and complimented the portfolio.
This is the outcome known to Great-Visions; no claim is made that the portfolio caused the interview or secured employment.
“I sent my portfolio for a writing opportunity, and they reached out to interview me. During the interview, they specifically mentioned and complimented my portfolio. I was honestly in shock. Thank you so much, Great-Vision.”
